1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using AuthGate ("Service"), operated by AuthGate ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
AuthGate is an open-source authentication, billing, and access-control platform. The Service includes the hosted cloud platform, SDKs, APIs, documentation, and dashboard.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or networks connected to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble proprietary portions of the Service (the open-source codebase is governed by its license)
- Resell or redistribute the hosted Service without consent
5. Intellectual Property
The AuthGate open-source codebase is licensed under the MIT License. The hosted Service, branding, and proprietary features remain the intellectual property of AuthGate. You retain ownership of your data and content.
6. Payment and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Charges are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for compliance with applicable data protection laws for the data you process through the Service.
8. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or terminate the Service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons with reasonable notice when possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuthGate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your data available for export for 30 days after termination, after which it may be deleted.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
